- Borland's install program has been a bit finicky and the surest way
- to achieve a smooth installation is to clean-boot.

- It's so little effort. Just back up your config.sys and autoexec.bat,
- delete or comment out everything that's not needed, and do the
- installation.
- Afterwards, check the path in autoexec.bat to see if the installer
- modified it, and if so, apply the modification to the backed up copy
- of autoexec.bat, and finally restore them.

- of BC++ 2.x, 3.0, 3.1, 4.0, 4.1, 4.5, and 4.51 all went without a
